Wednesday confessional

Roaches are just about the most disgusting thing in the world. On the rare occasion (thankfully) that we see one in the house, I ask Steve to get it (even if that means it stays put for an hour in the meantime).  The crunchiness is just disgusting to me. Unless it's alive... on those even more rare occasions, I will grab anything within reach and smash it multiple times...  then ask Steve to finish the deed.  Luckily for me, he does not think this is unreasonable behavior and has always stopped whatever he is doing, without complaining or teasing me, to take care of this.

I rarely correct my kids when they use improper grammar. I think it's adorable and it has always worked itself out so far.  Right now Hailey uses pronouns incorrectly - "her is funny", etc.  I figure they get enough discipline related comments that this is a battle I don't need to fight right now.  I just smile :)

I am not a girly-girl. I like football, playing sports, and working out.  There have been many times I wished that I was - I have no clue what kind of facial moisturizers, makeup, etc to use.  I don't know where to start.  I'm sure my skin could look a lot better if I tried to figure this out.  Hailey, somehow, is VERY girly.  I LOVE this.  Maybe she can teach me some girly things!

Sometimes I leave laundry in the dryer for days. Apparently the kids have caught on to this now, because Tyson looked in the dryer for clean underwear BEFORE he looked in his dresser the other day.

I'm not creative with food or cooking.  I've always wished I could "whip something up with random stuff in the fridge," but I don't really think I could pull that off.  I have some dishes that are on a pseudo-rotation. Sometimes I'll find something new and add it to the "list".  Who am I kidding though, Steve does 90% of the "real" cooking anyways.

I may or may not shop at Gymboree so often that the store manager AND assistant manager know me, and my kids' sizes and "save" things for me occasionally are very friendly when I walk in.  Believe it or not, I actually don't spend loads of $ in there.  Sale shopper only!

I still haven't downloaded Hailey's 3 year pictures, or our newest family pictures from a CD so I can share them and make her official 3-year-old post.

I bought Hailey a Cowboys shirt (it was on serious clearance).  This is not easy for me to do, since I've spent most of my life loathing that team.  I also may or may not have one as well.  Ahhh, look what love can do to you.  Don't tell my family in Wisconsin.  The kids and I DO have more Packers gear than Cowboys though.  And we're working on Texans gear too, of course!

Haha! Love it! Let the small things stay small... Enough big things to put pressure on us! Hi to Hailey and Tyson.... Natalie asks about them from time to time...
