Totally don't get it Tuesday

I am COMPLETELY copying this from something Katie does on her blog, but I couldn't resist, it just fit in perfectly.

In my many hours in the car lately, I rarely find things that entertain me or catch my attention. Twice in the last week, I have seen this car. Both times, I felt an intense desire to run it off the road. Why? You may not be able to tell by the picture, since I took it with my phone...

but it has a "red hat society" magnet on the left side and an actual picture of a red hat on a magnet on the right side that says "red had society" in white letters.
What is up with the red hat thing?? I actually haven't heard much about it lately so I was kind of hoping the fad had died down. Maybe I don't get it because I'm not close to the "qualifying age", but you read it here... I will never be in the red hat society. I totally don't get it. (Thanks Katie for the T.G.I.T. idea)

I have seen this on a few other blogs lately... we have recently joined the Wii crowd and are losing sleep playing it. Steve tried Wii fit tonight and really liked it. I haven't tried it yet. Not sure what all I'll be able to do on it yet while I'm prego.

Not only that, we also got Rock Band II and Guitar Hero World Tour for Christmas. We have a problem. Please help us (find more time to play them, NOT take them away). We already have Mario Kart for Wii on the radar for the next game.

I couldn't resist... hadn't taken bath pictures in awhile.

I think the fireman is missing his jacket!

14 weeks and growing

14 weeks this week and I already have a little belly. It's definitely growing faster this time. The other day my friend at work told me that I don't need to wear maternity clothes yet because I'm not really showing. Huh?

Daddy cups

Daddy likes to drink out of plastic cups instead of glass (don't ask, he just always has). Today he went to the store and brought some home. Tyson asked if he could have one, and with each one we gave him he would ask "more daddy cup?" At first we tried to stop him with 2, but then figured, what's it going to hurt? So... he ended up with the whole package of them. Little did we know, this was his master plan for needing all of them...

This car isn't his, it's our neighbor's. He loves riding in it. Today was the first time he's been in the driver's seat while it was going. (Aaron was pressing the gas, Tyson was steering.) Aaron is always a good sport about sharing his toys.

Our little cheeseball - they had to be crooked.

Recent obsession with lining things up.

Here's some more new trends/ activities:

- Every night after dinner, he likes to put his chair in front of the sink, get 2-3 plastic cups and repeatedly fill them with water, then dump them out. The only way we can pull him away from this is by thinking of a toy he would rather play with (blocks usually work, or basketball)
- When we play basketball, he is very into "turns." He will tell you when it's your turn to shoot and when it's his turn. Usually Tyson gets 2 turns, then you get 1.
- Very into tickling. We will be playing together and he'll say "tickle mommy!" And he and daddy tickle mommy. Then he'll say "tickle daddy!" and we tickle daddy. Of course, he never says "tickle Tyson..."

Recent words/ sayings that may need translation:

"I gog ick" (I got it) - says this ALL the time
"Here comes Tyson!" - when he's coming down the stairs or getting in his high chair
"ha co co" (helicopter)
"mo ty co" (motorcycle)
"pockick" (pocket)
"jackick" (jacket)
"ta koo" (thank you)
and my all time favorite, I cried the first time he said it, and I still melt every time I hear it...
"I yove you" (I love you)

We laugh at him all the time! So fun!

A balanced house

We had an ultrasound today for genetic screening and all that good stuff. The dr. thought everything looked great as far as that goes. In the process, we found out the sex of the baby! The dr. was 80% sure it will be a GIRL. So, looks like we'll have one of each! We'll find out for sure in 6 weeks when we go back for the full anatomy ultrasound. But, we're thinking it's a girl until we hear otherwise! It will be interesting to see how different they are as they grow up.

Here's the first pics of the little one!

(Head is on the right, feet curled up on the left)
(Head at the top, arms up by her face, legs curled up at the bottom)!

Happy Weirdsgiving!

Since two of our closest college buds decided to temporarily relocate to Panama 2 years ago (has it really been that long?!?!), our old college group doesn't get to be complete that often anymore. But, we have them back in town for a little while so we decided to start a new annual tradition with our group. It's called Weirdsgiving. It will always be around Christmas/ New Years and everyone has to come up with an activity to contribute to the day. It started around 11 am and didn't end until 3 or 4 am (I didn't quite make it that long). We still weren't 100% complete because Kelly didn't make it (for some reason she didn't want to drive from Brenham after a long day being 8 months pregnant :) - missed you).
There were various weird activities, and lots of YUMMY food, and I didn't get pictures of all of them, but for example, we played a 2 on 2 basketball tournament in the dining room using Tyson's basketball goal. On our knees. Wearing pajama pants and/or home made knee pads so we wouldn't completely tear our knees up. It was fun, but everyone was complaining about their knees hurting afterwards. Guess we're getting old. I do have video of this but since my laptop doesn't like my video camera (still), it may be awhile before it makes it on here.

Anthony and Micah wrote and performed a song for us (about us) :)
We also played hours and hours of Rock Band II (not pictured)

I'm not going to try to explain the next couple of pictures. You just had to be there.

This one is not from Weirdsgiving but I had to include it, it was too cute. Tyson loves his Uncle Kykle. He rarely holds hands with people. (awwww....)

Rock Band II

In the past couple of weeks we've become addicted to Rock Band II. We were already addicted to Guitar Hero, but with the drums and vocals included it's just that much more fun, especially in a group (which we've had a lot of lately)! I can count atleast 6 people who have been hesitant to try it, and then stay up until 3 AM playing it (ahem, ahem... you know who you are :)

Good thing we didn't get a Wii like we were thinking about (YET), or we would probably never go to sleep. If you don't have one or the other, you should really get one. It entertains people anywhere from 9 months old to 50+!!
